Tonight's the Night!

So tonight's the night of our much awaited Circus!!! WOO!
Jared and Mandy, and Blake and I, are venturing out to watch the Barnum and Bailey Circus at the Delta Center! (Yes, I refuse to call it the Energy solutions center, it will always be the Delta Center.)
It took a lot for Mandy and I to convince Jared and Blake of the idea, but as usual, we came out successful!
So hold on to your butts ladies and gents, cuz tonight's gonna be a rockin' good time! (I havent been to a circus for oh, over 2 decades I believe, so for all I know I could absolutely hate it. But I doubt it! However I will report afterwards and let you know if I still feel the same way =)

Oh yah and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Where it all Began.....

I found this picture of Blake and I and it brought back some good ole memories. This was our first trip to Midway together (that's where his grandma lives). Blake took me on a long walk down to the bridge and then we went to Johnson's Mill. Here we are on the dock just before Blake took me out in the canoe (yes, it was just like the scene in The Notebook, only fewer swans, and much, much better!) Shortly after this, I met Blake's parents and little bro-skee Bradey. We went on the Heber Creeper the first day I met them, it was so much fun! Here are some pictures of us on the train that day.... look at Bradey's long hair! Woo!

Seems like just yesterday, yet seems like I've known Blake's family for forever! And yes, that's me pulling the kissy face. It's my signature move people. And I figure don't fix something that ain't broken.

Did you really EVER wonder?

Yah. Me neither.

It's about Time.

Tonight's the night!
Yesterday, after having the headache from H-E-double- hockey-sticks,
I decided that I was due for a nice relaxing, coma-inducing massage. And now that I have another half to worry about, I decided it was my duty to drag him along with me. To my surprise, I didn't have to do much dragging. My significant others rules were simply "No guys allowed Em, I dont want any touching me and if any touch you, I'll break their neck."
"Can I please request two females? I asked the young woman in charge of scheduling.
"We only allow 2 females in the couples room anyway," she said.
Apparently this wasn't the first time she had heard this request.
Based on the voice of the sweet gentleman who first answered the phone, I wondered if he may have been the better choice. I'd confidently put 50 bucks on the table that his second job was a makeup specialist at the Clinique counter.
But so it is, tonight at 6:45pm we will both be nestled on our little face hole massage beds, listening to kenny g, and doing our best not to drool.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Word of caution: Outside of ab work, massage is the No. 1 cause of accidental flatulence. At the gym, you can dismiss it with a disapproving glance, but here on the massage table you have no choice but to smile and explain that, where you come from, it's a compliment.

The Perfect Couple

After searching long and hard for a "Couples Costume" for Halloween, Blake and I finally found the perfect pair. I think it suits us both very well. These two should have been in the runnings together. Just ask my dad, our whole family is really rootin for old Billary. I think next year they should pick a winner with a good old fashion mud wrastlin'. Hillary vs Palin. Palin would whoop some pootang.
Here is Blake having more fun. Heaven help him. He did a little dance around the aisles for a good 15 minutes like this. Kind of worrisome.

My very own Buford.

"And don't go home. And don't go to eat. And don't play with yourself. It wouldn't look nice on my highway." Buford T. Justice

For those of you who arent aware, I have a nickname for my Mother.
And it's after the lovely gentleman shown above. Mr. Buford T. Justice from Smokey and the Bandit.
I cleverly shortened it to Buford, or Bufey, and have been referring to my Mom as this, for the past 10 years. She says she doesnt like it, but i know deep down that everytime she hears it, she remembers how cute I once was to her.
Under the photo is a direct quote of his, which explains why he reminds me of my Mother. She used to warn me of the same things.
So one day after watching Smokey and the Bandit with my dear brother, I decided that this was the perfect nickname for my beautiful mother.
Call it an oxymoron. However I do see a resemblance. Kidding Mom.
Jackie Gleason aint got nothin on you.
Right now my mom is thinking the following:
"There's no way, *no* way that you came from *my* loins. Soon as I get home, first thing I'm gonna do is punch yo mamma in da mouth!" - Buford T. Justice
But she IS my Mom, so it wouldn't make much sense to punch herself in the mouth now would it. That is deep.

Happy Friiiiiiday!

Below are various pictures of Great White Sharks, because today I have been looking at... various pictures of Great White Sharks. My sister and I have a deep fear of such creatures, yet we are obsessed with Shark week. And pretty much anything that involves Sharks.
Very strange now that I think about it.
But look at these beauuuuuuuuties! The first one looks like it's smiling. I like that. Makes it seem real friendly. I bet they are. I heard it's ok to pet them too. Make sure you have lots of fish in your pocket if you do though, it's been said that this helps calm them. I heard that on the Discovery Channel. I was doing homework while watching though, so don't quote me. But I'm about 60% sure thats what they said. And 60% of the time, the Discovery channel is correct EVERY time. That quote never gets old. Thank you Ron Burgundy.
Happy Friday! I'm delirious.

How Blake hurt that Finger!

Nat brought up a good point. I posted that last picture, with Blake's giant-bird-flipping-finger, and have never posted on what happened to it( I didnt have a blog back then!) This happened back in April...I think. Blake was hiding something up in the rafters of Sports Authority where he worked. He went to hop back down from the ladder and caught his CTR ring, that was on his middle finger, on a ledge. His ring went all the way under his skin until you couldnt see it, i dont know how that ring didnt break but i wish it would have! It bent clear out of shape but didnt break, they had to cut it off of him! His managers told him to put a bandaid on it, but he insisted that it was worse then they thought, and hauled himself to the ER. He ended up getting 20 stitches! Yowch! Come to find out, the object he was hiding was MY christmas present, I felt so bad! But his finger has healed up nicely =) Here are some sweet pics from it all!

Blake's 6 Random Facts!

Ok so I didn't even see that Blake had been tagged by Hailey! I didnt even know Hailey & Colton filled out their 6 random facts until 5 minutes ago when I read them! So, because Blake is currently at work....and has NO idea how to even write a blog.... I have the pleasure of doing this FOR him. Which he will loooooove, plus it will be ten times more fun cuz I get to pick the 6 things =) Woo! Here it goes:

Fact #1: Blake likes to pretend he is a chain smoker. No matter where we are, he will find something that he can roll up and pretend to smoke. I'll never forget the day I walked into my parent's kitchen, only to find my dear husband has rolled up some paper, used the stove to light it, and is showing my ENTIRE family that he can blow perfect smoke rings. And do the french inhale up his nose. I don't ask where he learned all this from, it already concerns me... as you can imagine.

Fact #2: Blake does not like clutter. This is a good thing....most the time =) He doesn't like cluttered paper, in particular. If a pile of mail begins to grow, because it needs to be shredded, paid, etc , he will point this out. I will then tell him that these mail pieces are being kept in a safe place, on top of the microwave, so that I dont forget to pay them. =) But he will still remind me the next day, and every day after, until it is gone. =) He is a VERY good helper with stuff around the house though. So I'm not complaining, I think it's funny more than anything! (That's my disclaimer so that I dont get in trouble.)

Fact #3: Blake can play the harmonica like a bandit. I'm not talking put your lips on the thing and have a seizure, I'm talking he can put some harmonica music in front of him and bust every note out! I didn't know this until one night, as I'm laying peacefully in bed, almost asleep, Blake decides to all of a sudden pleasure me with the loudest harmonica song I have ever heard. =) He always picks such opportune times to show me such talents. But really, I was impressed after the anger subsided.

Fact #4: Blake has a pair of Heely's (Thanks Nat!). Yes, the lovely shoe/skates that all the kids wear in every mall and shopping center around. He didn't show me these until after we were married. Good thing, just kidding. Sometimes he will strap them on and go to target with me. Such a joy watching my husband skate around the aisles. Brian Boytano has nothing on him.

Fact #5: If there are any chips in sight, Blake will dip them in whatever he can find. If you go to a Mexican place, he will have rice and beans loaded on top of the tortilla chips. If you go to a family reunion, he will have potato chips loaded with pasta salad on them. Such odd combinations, but hey if he is happy... I am happy! =) And dry heaving.

And last but not least....

Fact #6: Blake is the sweetest guy you will EVER meet. Seriously, if you could read the messages/emails he writes to his family and brother, you would fall in love with him. =) In a brotherly way...cuz he is mine! But for a guy who grew up with all brothers, these Wilde boyz have the biggest hearts you've ever laid your eyes on!

And the Results Are in...

I'm posting this sign for two reasons. A) I did get a 90% on my Math test. Which you think that would make me super happy, and I am trying to be, but B) you would have thought I was from Wyoming if you could have seen the one I missed. Minus 4 points because apparently I am incapable of graphing x<0.
Holy Shitzkees. My next test is on Monday, guess i better start studying
NOW!

Math Scores Tonight!

Although I found the math problem below on the internet, I'm pretty sure the answer to one of my problems was very similar. Great minds think alike! Hope I did okay on this test, I shall update you tomorrow with the results!

The Paintings Are In!!!

Painting #1 (LEXI): Although I dont know who painted this picture, I must say it is divine. I'm a very big fan of the clouds/birds/blue things by the sun and the small donkey playing on the lawn. Just kidding Roxi! Hmm the swinger has red hair....very interesting =)

Painting #2 (RILEY): Hmmmm, I only know of 2 young people who have the fastest RC cars on this side of the Mississippi. But i will keep my lips zipped as to who this painting could belong to! =) Very Nice painting, I am concerned that each person only has 6 fingers however. Guess all ya really need is one finger to hold the remote, and the other to push the FASTER button! =) I like the racetrack and the awesome sun!

Painting # 3 (HAILEY): Very Picasso-esque! What a lovely array of colors this artist has used. This reminds me of one of those paintings that you go cross eyed to look at and you see some secret picture emerge. Wait... I think I really do see something! Yes, I do! It's Jenny coming out of Ross Dress for Less. With another pair of jeans! Amazing work!

Painting #4:(TRISTAN)Oh this is a very detailed picture. I like it! It looks like someone may be laying in a bed, hooked up to their Wii game system! This person must play guitar hero 4,000 times a day in order to get feeling better. It works much faster than any medication! I know, I have tried it also. And it looks like Uncle Rick is outside in a cowboy outfit doing a dance for the people in the waiting room. He is a very good dancer! No, no he is not. They are begging him to stop.

Painting #5: (COLTON) Oh my. It looks like "Cousin IT" has been in some sort of car wreck! Or maybe it is a polygamist. Definitely not cousin Emi =) I really like the big giant sun! And the very artistic tires =) But where is Blake? Oh wait, I just realized this is a picture of Blake, with his long flowing mullet that he used to have! Watch out for the airbags, yowch!

~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_

So there ya have it folks, now the tough part begins! How am I ever going to choose a winner out of all of these awesome paintings! Guess I will have to make Blake do it, blindfolded. =)

Stay tuned for the winners, i will have them posted by Wednesday morning!!!!! Love all of you!

I've Been Tagged!

6 facts about me.... and 6 people who I tagged.

1. I hate talking on the phone more than anything in the entire world. Don't make me call you.
2. I have names for every kid in our ward. Booger eater, sloth baby...just to name a couple. Blake and I talk in code all during Sacrament meeting. That's not very Christ-like, is it.
3. I have just been introduced to painting on the computer, and am now considered a paint genius.
4. I officially hate driving. Guess thats what happens when you play real live bumper cars in intersections. "Automobilllllll, Lehhhhhk." as quoted by Long Duck Dong.
5. I am obsessed with Blake.
6. I gag when i drink water.

Youre next... Mandy, Natalie, Jenny, Jeana, Shanalee, & Liz!

Let us Remember...

In Memory of September 11th....
“Now, we have inscribed a new memory alongside those others. It’s a memory of tragedy and shock, of loss and mourning. But not only of loss and mourning. It’s also a memory of bravery and self-sacrifice, and the love that lays down its life for a friend–even a friend whose name it never knew. “- President George W. Bush,

"Look what i can do." That was my caption under the Picture I sent him.

The other day Blake asked me to send him a picture. Before deciding which pose to contort myself into, I thought about what type of picture he might have in mind. We were married on May 2nd, that means we have been married for a grand total of 4 months and 8 days. We are still referred to as a "googly-eyed Newly Wed Couple." Blake constantly asks strangers how long it takes for that term to go away, they rarely answer because they could care less. My answer is, we will always be newlyweds. But sooner or later we will start looking at each other the same way we look at our siblings. Hey Jare! I'm kidding Blake.
Back to the subject. So after a few minutes of thinking of ultra sexy poses I could manage on top of my desk while my coworkers watched in wonder...... I decided on this one. Because if you think about it, sending a picture like this to my husband means much much more. I wouldnt dare show this to any of my coworkers, or even distant family. But I am more than willing to send it to my wonderful husband, because I know that he is stuck with me for the eternities and can't do anything about it =)
Love you Blake.

Math Test Tonight.

First Math Test Tonight. Did every homework problem 3 times, still not excited/confident. Note: Next time dont wait 7 years to retake a math class. And dont start drinking, even though it sounds like a good option at this point in time.

Zoom Zoom.

We got a new car! On Saturday Blake and I decided to drive around and start looking for some new car options. After literally being chased, and harrassed, by the salesman at the Auto Mall (my advice is never go there!) and CarMax, Blake and I found this beauty at D. Dahle Mazda. It's the same car we had before but it's the "Grand Touring" edition so it has leather seats, a 6 disc changer in the dash, and a sunroof! Not to mention a bigger engine and a much better color that we can keep clean! =) So we are very excited. We got to practice our negotiation skills for 3 hours at the dealership and we talked them down 2000 dollars! Go us! So if you see us zoomin' around the town be sure to wave. I will most likely have my head out the sunroof. I have never had one before, it's like Christmas! =) Honk Honk.

Good Luck Trist!

I am a tiny angel
I'm smaller than your thumb
I live in people's pockets
That's where I have my fun.
I don't suppose you've seen me,
I'm too tiny to detect
Though I'm with you all the time,
I doubt that we have met.
Before I was an Angel...I was a fairy in a flower,
God, Himself, hand-picked me,
And gave me Angel power.
Now God has many Angels,
That He trains in Angel pools.
We become His eyes, and ears, and hands.
We become His special tools.
Because God is so busy,
With way too much to do.
He said that my assignment,
Is to keep close watch on you.
When He placed me in your pocket,
You were blessed with Angel care.
And I was told to never leave you,
And I vowed to always be there.
You have always had angels with you Trist, and I know they will be right there with ya tomorrow! We will be waiting for you when you get out of surgery, can't wait to see ya. Love you lots,
Em

4:30 in the am??? It was worth it!

So Before our big car wreck adventure, Blake and I woke up at the buttcrack of dawn on Monday morning to attend the Labor Day RC Willey Sale. All last week we had been looking at couches to see if any good deals were around, and while at RC Willey we found our dream couch but decided it was waaaaaay too far out of our price range. Well just our luck on Sunday night, we saw in the doorbuster RC Willey ad that our dream couch was going to be half off! Thanks to a gift certificate and $$ from our wedding ....we were able to get it! Waking up at 4:30am, to be the 3rd in line at the door of RC Willeys, was well worth it!

Here is our lovely new couch! (For those of you who have been to our parents, it is just like theirs. Only a darker charcoal/olive color.) Now come visit us people!

Happy Birfday Mandy-Lou!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you have a great day! Cant wait for Bucaaaaaaa tonight! =) Love Mrs. Wilde-style.

Craaaaaaaaaaaash.

As most of you have heard, Blake and I got in a wee bit of an accident on Monday night. We were headed home from Heber, after a really great day with Blake's family, and just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time! We came up on a light that was in a pretty heavy construction area, and as we were heading through the light a car turning left didnt see us and decided to go for it. We T-boned them perfectly going about 50mph. I dont know how we all walked away from this accident, but we did. It sure was a blessing! Blake and I are happy to say we went to the hospital and no broken bones were found, however we did get a nice good bag of 800mg Ibuprofen and some great muscle relaxers. =) I know what we will be doing tonight! We are sooooo thankful that we didnt get hurt. As for my car Pedro, I think he just spent all 9 of his lives. But we will keep you updated on that =) I dont have all my pictures downloaded yet, I only have one from a phone picture. So here it is, more to come soon!

See ya Soooooooon Bradey!!!!!!

So yesterday was the official day that Blake's little brother Bradey left for his mission. He is headed to the MTC in Johannesburg South Africa! He won't even get to South Africa until tomorrow sometime and he left yesterday at noon! He first flies to Chicago, then to London, then on to South Africa. Quite the world traveler he will be =) We were able to spend a really fun day with Bradey on Sunday in Heber, playing ball and having a big bbq. We are so excited for Bradey and are so proud of him for choosing to serve a mission. He will be blessed and we will miss him, but we know he will be such a great Missionary! Love ya Bradey! Keep it Wildestyle!
