Hair-Cuts-R-Us

For the past two weeks Blake has been saying he needs a hair cut. And every time I try to get him to actually go do it, he has responded with, "Em, will you just cut it pleeeease." And then I laugh and he goes 3 more days with hippy hair. Well yesterday, post-church, we were getting ready to go to my parent's house for a BBQ, and we decided to try and cut Blake's hair into a mullet. My genius thinking realized that if we did this, then for sure today he would have to go get it fixed by a professional. Well we cut the mullet, which didn't end up looking like much of a mullet at all, and when we got home last night I received a challenge. This was a challenge like none of the others previously brought on by my dear husband. It was more of a "yah you probably couldn't really cut my hair anyways." So with that little comment, I grabbed my kitchen-aid food scissors out of my knife set and went to town. By the time I got done my husband had a seriously sexy coif that only a hot Wilde woman could have produced.

I win again. Thank you very much. Pictures to come later k?

PS.. I am headed to Sally Beauty Supply after work to buy some professional scissors. If nursing doesn't work out, I just found my new profession. It's called cutting Wilde Men hair. Part Deux.
Here is our lovely pic at the Temple Friday night, I love my hot hubby!
(Keep in mind this was pre-haircut)

Did I forget you? And Yaaaay for School dwellers!

Hi Friends!

So I decided I am leaving my blog open for another week because I have a few people who didn't get a chance to give me their addresses and would like to be added . So if I forgot you and you would like to be added, please let me know in the comments section of this post! This whole private thing may be only temporary, but either way let me know your address and I'll make sure you're on the list for now!
Besides all that, Physiology starts tomorrow night, and I take my big TEAS exam on Friday morning. Wish me luck!
Now for some motivational thoughts:

Party of a Weekend

Well we made it through another busy week my friends. It was our last week of fun before heading back to school this Wednesday, so we had to make it great. Thursday night I could tell my husband was pooped from all this summer working, so I had a picnic ready for us to take up Butterfield Canyon behind our house. We bbq'd our little hearts out, it was a great break from our busy week! My work had our annual Lagoon Day Friday so Jen, my Dad, and the two little boys, spent a half day there. Unfortunately Blake couldnt get off work, such a responsible fellow he is, but it was flaming hot and the kiddy lines were ridiculously long/sweaty. So I think it probably worked out for the best that Blake wasn't stuck there. Jax loved all the rides, it was quite surprising since it was his first time seeing a rollercoaster. He just couldnt get enough! However he quickly realized what lines were, and wasn't exactly a big fan of the whole idea. Near the end of the day Jax decided to strip down to his new big boy underwear, which is precisely when we decided it was probably a good idea to go home and cool off. After Lagoon, Blake and I went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse and found ourselves at Jordan River Parkway where they had an outdoor showing of Wall-E going. We lasted about 10 minutes before we were eaten alive and decided the basement apartment in which we currently reside, sounded like a much better idea. We fell asleep on our blow up mattress in the living room, pretty romantic eh =) Saturday we woke up early and went to the Marath kids' b-day party and then we ventured off to UVU to spend our life savings on books. That was delicious. Luckily we thought of a great idea to follow that torture and spent the rest of the afternoon at Daybreak Lakes lounging and swimming. We ended the weekend with a hot and sweaty filled Bees Game. It was sold out by the way, why do people get so excited over fireworks these days? It's craziness. But we were happy to attend the Temple Dedication today and spend the evening at the music in the park in Lehi. A great end to a sweet/busy summer, I must say. So here's to the new school year, let us all get A's and, if needed, provide lap dances to our professors in order to do so. Sayanara folks!

Photos Galore!

Here are some pictures that I have had for a couple of weeks now and never posted: Blake and I spent a great weekend in Midway and Park City a few weekends ago. A little weekend getaway if you will =) We have also spent a lot of time up at the Daybreak lakes enjoying the nice weather and beautiful views. We took Jen and Matt up there, only to be attacked by bees and have the sprinklers turn on right in the middle of our dinner. Crap! And of course we had a great time with Jaxson's 3rd Birthday party this weekend, Blake was away but I captured a few pics of the fam.
So hope you Enjoy!
After the surprise party Blake and I snuck away to Park City where we had a sweet time at the Hampton Inn ;) A little hot tubbing and some ... movie watching. The following day we walked down Park City Main, found ourselves in lots of fun shops, and then ventured back to Midway to have lunch at Tarajumara with both our parents. It was a great weekend!

We found a bunch of sweet hats in a store, so of course we tried them all on. These were our favorites. Indian Jones and the Erotic Gardener. That's our names.

Saturday was Jaxson's actual birthday, but we celebrated it as a whole family on Sunday. Saturday night Jenny and Matt decided they were going to attempt to make Jaxson a Monster Truck cake this year, and boy did they ever! Although Jenny commenced to drinking (see below) about half way through, they made it through the adventure. And Jax could not have been more EXCITED to have his very own Maximum Destruction birthday cake! Way to go Matt and Jen! Jax got bazillions of Monster Trucks as usual, an awesome Radio Flyer Big Wheel from the Marath's, and a sweet power tool set from the Karr's! He loves the safety glasses and now has the appropriate tools to work on all of his monster trucks. It was great to have family over, an end to a happy weekend!

~Weekend Party - Minus my Better Half~

Welcome to my newly privat-ed Blog my friends! Glad you all could join me!
There were some crazies at Blake's work who decided it was fun to look at our blog, and make juicy comments to Blake, so I figured I better put an end to that before someone gets punched and/or potato-bombed on the job.
This weekend Blake has been away hunting, like a manly man, with his Dad and Broskie Brandon so I spent the weekend at the Parentals. A) because it scares me to sleep alone in a basement and B) because I didnt want to sit home alone all weekend, in a basement. Catch my drift? Luckily Blake had great service up in their campspot so I got the pleasure of sending naughty texts to him all weekend. While Blake was away I threw a ginormous Luau for my ward Friday night which ended up being quite a success. I had roughly 120 people show up, we had just enough food, and the Hawaiian dancers that I hired were truly AMAAAZING. It was a great time, I was very pooooooped by the end of the night. But the fun didn't stop there, Fish and Becky came over to the casa and we had a big giant sleepover. Just like the olden days. Word of caution: Don't watch "17 again." Once you are over the age of 17, that flick will make you: NEVER want to be 17 again. And you will also NEVER want to watch another movie with Zac Effron in it. It was never cool to be on the basketball team, and also perform with the cheerleaders. The writer of that script was sorely mistaken.
Saturday I played with the parents, we made a trip to Chilis together. Went to another Ward BBQ for the extra blessings. And capped off the weekend with a GIANT Birthday party for Jaxson. I Cant believe he is 3, mind bottling. It's his party and he can cry if he wants to. Which he did, almost the whole time. Poor little guy got sensory overload with all the presents I think. Now back to work huh. Pictures to come soon my friends.
Hope you all have a superb Week! School starts next week....booooooo.

The Death Wobble

Earlier this afternoon I was driving a company vehicle back to my work, when I experienced the ferocious "Death Wobble". If you have never experienced the death wobble, you can google it, however you will have no understanding of precisely what I went through today. Trauma is an understatement. It involves your car/truck/form of mobility having a mind of it's own and jumping into the air with zest. Wheels off the ground one might say (or so it feels like). This occurs most often while driving at high speeds, which is particularly convenient . The Semi's and/or vehiculars surrounding you tend to honk when you veer into their lane. And the average person's f-word quota is met within that short 30 seconds of seizure.
Today I choose to make a motion to rename the "Death Wobble" to the "Oh-Shitter." This is a much more accurate description of such an experience.

Kennecott Family Day and Logan's Blessing!

This Weekend consisted of the following:
- Hot date at Mi Ranchito on Friday night.
- Talked to a Staples sales guy for an hour about a computer, only to find out that he didn't have any left in his store. Nice job buddy, there's one more lost commission for you. Put one on hold at a Salt Lake Store.
- Traveled to downtown Salt Lake Staples on Saturday morning, only to find out that they don't open at 9am like we were told, they open at 10am.
-Spent from 9am-10am in Ace Hardware looking at pitch forks and ratchets. Tried on all of their $1 sunglasses and got laughing really hard. The old awnry man who worked there asked us what we were doing. Looking duh, leave us alone.
-Bought a new HP computer that is sic-with-a-c. Wahoo!
- Went to Kennecott Family Day up at the mine! Ate BBQ/Ice Cream and got to crawl around all of the equipment they use. The Boys were in heaven. I loved all the bearded men.
-Blake went fishing after Kennecott day with my broskie, I stayed behind and baked. Actually I hung out with my sister.
-Fell asleep at my parent's house Saturday night, woke up to a hot fisherman who returned from a sweet day of successful fishing.
-Woke up in the middle of the night to a baby crying. I sat straight up and asked Blake "Is that our baby crying or Jenny's baby (my sister)?" Blake said "whhhhat?" "Is that our baby?" He said "Go to sleep Em."
- Slept in til 7, went to the blessing for Logan. Ate way too many muffins.
- Cooked the fish that Blake caught, Perch and Walleye, very tasty.
-Walked for an hour up around the lakes at daybreak. Said hi to everyone we passed and only got a hi back twice. What is wrong with people these days?
- Watched tv and fell asleep.
-Woke up to a loud fart. That didn't belong to me.
That was pretty much my weekend, hope yours was just as eventful.
Happy New Week everyone!
