Antibiotics on the Brain

Let's just say that this week has been a week of frustration. My second Microbio test is quickly approaching, this Friday or Saturday to be exact, and my flash card making strategy is just not cutting it this go-round. I have 250 flashcards for this test, which is even more than my last test. And for some strange reason I had convinced myself that this test was going to be a smidge easier. Not so. I can't keep all these antibiotics straight. I can hardly pronounce half of them let alone know what they mean. And for every antibiotic I have to know what it blocks, what it prevents, what mechanism of action it takes, examples, side affects.... you get the picture. I have 3 days to memorize the crap out of this stuff, because as luck would have it, our tests are the lovely fill in the blank. Heaven help me, until then I'm going to take a large dose of the following.
I hear it's great for the cuticles.

Celebrity Sightings.

I completely forgot to mention that while at Target this last Saturday, Jenny and I ran into the one and only's.. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. After discussing our favorite full house episodes and getting starvation tips from them, we were able to talk them into a picture. "Prruuuuuuune" they said and snap, we got the pic. And so that you are aware, when getting pictures taken they really do say Pruuuuune instead of cheeeeeese. Apparently it makes their lips all seductive-like.
I read that in People magazine, don't judge me.

Not so Wilde.

It's Monday and I'm already thinking of what we can do for the ever-so-distant-weekend, which technically has not even begun approaching. I must say this past weekend was a complete blur. I had a Ward Activity to plan for Friday night, which took up all my thoughts last week, and I failed to remember that a standard weekend not only consists of Friday but it also has a Saturday and a Sunday. Usually, to Blake's displeasure, I have something very wilde-like planned for every single day and night of the entire weekend. But not this time. And I'm still distressed from it all. Saturday morning Blake went ice fishing bright and early, and I woke up at 5:30 in the a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep. (What the H! However I did text my sister and say "Wake Up!" around 6:00am, which made her very angry...so that brightened my spirits.) But waking up that early sure made for a long day. I can't complain too much though, I did get to attend a grocery-guru seminar that morning, and had a great lunch with Laurel whom we had not seen in over 10 years! Then of course we had to cap it all of with some shopping with the Mom and Sis. However come Saturday night, there was absolutely zero to do. We had this whole date night planned and NOTHING to do. No good movies out, Bajio ran out of lettuce (very much to my displeasure) therefore no dinner was enjoyed, it was a night of disappointment. I was not rejuvenated like I was supposed to be. And I'm still complaining about it. Maybe I should just get over it.
With that said, I'll start planning next weekend, which will hopefully make me feel better. So far I have Friday afternoon: Microbiology Test #2. All of a sudden this last weekend is looking so much better.
Happy Monday dearies. Pictures to come.

Can you Hear me Now?

At this very moment in time, my husband is installing a fog horn into his sweet-A Grand Am. Rather than losing my mind over such a matter, I am grateful that he will finally have a horn period. The fact that it's a foghorn is actually somewhat of a relief, if you can believe that. Last night while studying ever so diligently for Micro class, I got the pleasure of hearing every train horn and ferry horn out there, and all within the comforts of my own home. Thank you Youtube. All night I listened to my husband laugh... honk after honk. One day I am told I will be riding in a 6 inch lifted Mega Cab... and I'm told if I'm real good these next few years, I could even have my own personal Train Honk to toot whenever I please. Until then... if you hear a foghorn coming out of a pimped out, somewhat dented, Grand-Am.... "Move out the way."
Or yo ass is molasses.

Toot Toot.

Flowers!

My hot husband surprised me at work today with these amazing tulips. Isn't he the best! Yes, yes he is... =)
I love you Blake!

Baby Chloe!

She is finally here! Yesterday Vanessa gave birth to her first baby girl, Chloe Anne Christensen! She is 8 lbs 4 oz and 22 inches long! She is the cutest little thing ever and Nessa did so amazing while in labor. I'm so proud of Vanessa and so happy for her and Chad's new family!

It's called the "This is not a Diet" Diet.

And I'm starting it today. But it's not a diet, I assure you. It's more of a "don't eat crap anymore k?" type of deal. Last night Blake's mom called me for some good treat ideas that you can eat while trying to follow a low-carb diet (think South Beach). She knows my mom, sister, and I have always been into the watch your carbs idea. Well let's just say since the holidays, I have fallen off the wagon. But her calling me, reminded me that I need to get back on this lovely wagon. Summer is quickly approaching and heaven knows that I'm not ready for it. So today's the day.
But I can't call it a diet or I won't do it. The human mind is a crazy thing, isn't it?

So... if any of you see me devouring something that looks carb-like, call me on it. So that I feel extremely embarrassed and hypocritical. I will then stop immediately and hand it over.
So day 1 begins, I'll keep you posted.
I think I smell fresh bagels. Oy.

Halllllllelujah!

I can't express how excited I am for the lovely weekend that is quickly approaching. I got my Micro Bio test done last night andI think I actually may have scored quite well. It was 2 full pages of fill in the blank along with multiple choice and matching, but I won't get my actual score back until next week.. blah. What a party. As much as I hate studying all the time, it sure is the best feeling once you're done with tests for a few weeks!
Such a relief.
I'm excited to say that the weekend is already filling up with fun. Tonight we are going to dinner with my bff Talisa and her husband Brandon, hello Mi Ranchito. And then Saturday the rockin-bowlin' tourney begins, against my big redneck broskie and his hot mama wife! And hopefully Dick and Jayne, even though my Dad is tired of losing to me. (That's my motivation for him to come....)
Ohhhhhh aaaaand I got my nails done for the first time since my wedding! Yayayaya! The fun never stops. Well this is maybe the most pointless blog ever written but hey, I have to be normal some of the time. Hope all of you have a superb weekend, full of snow. Yuck. Just think though...finally we can snowboard! Can't wait.... adios amigos!

A picture's worth a thousand words.

Today I'm feeling overwhelmed. I think the picture above captures my mood nicely. I have too much to do and too little time to do it in. That was a wordy sentence. But really I just want to say STOP to it all and stand in front of a bunch of people with my arms up like that. I'm not sure why but I really believe that would make me feel better. Homework is at an all time high, along with studying. And work. When will the madness stop.

Thank you for listening to me vent....I feel much better.
