I'm Really Not Dead...

What a crazy week! Blake and I started out the festivities with a little ice skating at the Olympic Oval on Christmas Eve, it was a party. Minus the part where I was turning in my skates, barefoot, and a young kid stepped on me with his lovely hockey skates. After a few swear words, I walked it off like a champ. Just a wee bit of bruising still =) Then we had a wonderful Christmas day with my whole family and spent the entire weekend at the Wilde's house. It was a good time! We did a little bowling, did a little mountain boarding / waiste deep snow hiking hell (that's realy all I care to say about this for now, details to come perhaps), and then kicked back and watched some movies. It was nice and relaxing! Now another 3 day work week until the big New Years Eve! I'm not quite sure what we are doing for the big night yet, probably something extreme. Like going to dinner, watching a movie, followed by falling asleep before midnight. That's pretty much our lives at the moment. Anything to keep our minds off of the dreaded spring semester that is inching its way closer and closer. Don't remind me. So for now I dont have many pictures to post, haven't had time to upload them yet. But I do have a lovely picture of the most amazing hat in the world, i believe it's made of Italian Seagull. From Italy.
Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

Waaahooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Ok, so lately the above picture has been the story of my life. But as of today, I am officially done with finals! After a lovely nutrition final last night, I am finally stress free people! And it's about time really.

Now I can relax, eat a lot of good food, and wait for Jolly old St. Nicholaus to arrive! =) It couldn't be better! And to top it off, Blake got in touch with Kennecott yesterday and will once again be on scholarship with them, and have a summer internship! For such a painful last couple weeks, yesterday sure made up for a lot of grief =) Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend, full of Christmas Parties! Only 6 more days til Christmas, woooooo!

Shitter's Full.

Ok I'm sorry to use such profanity people. Really it's not like me. But to quote Eddie as saying Poopers full just doesn't quite feel right. I have already asked for forgiveness, don't you fret. But what better way to officially start the holidays than to quote Christmas Vacation, am I right?
Yes, it's unfortunately true that I am just now able to start celebrating the holiday season. After 4 days of constant, brain-strain, rip-my-eyes out, studying, I have finally completed Math 1050. And with an A grade. Prayers are answered my friends. After 7 years of math-free bliss (the last time I attempted this course was in the 11th grade), I have finally conquered the demon. Now onto Microbiology, starting in January. The fun just doesn't end. So in ode to my dear friend Eddie, I would like to say thank you to the gift that keeps on giving. Cuz boy do I love paying tuition.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah.

I'm doing a Marathon!

....of studying. And it starts tonight at 4pm. Right after I drive home, get in some wal mart sweats, and eat a bowl of ice cream. To properly warm up the brain cells of course. Don't worry it's sugar free ice cream, with extra chocolate topping. To make it no longer sugar free. I will not stop studying until Monday. No sleep, no cooking, no cleaning, nothing. Blake doesn't know this. I may possibly purchase some diapers to resist using the bathroom too, but that's uncertain at this time. People really do that, Warcraft people in particular. I do have to inconveniently throw a Ward Christmas Party tomorrow morning, a brunch to be exact. But believe me, I will be counting various breakfast items the whole time I am there. Mean, Median, you name it, I will crunch it. Then the dreaded Math final commences Monday night at 5:40 in the pm. It is going to take every ounce of my being to prepare for this satanic sucker. One word, comprehensive. Who does that?
Second word. Hydration. Everybody's doing it.

My Christmas List.

Blake asked me to conjure up a Christmas Wish List.
This is pretty much what I had in mind Blake. And maybe some celery and a flashlight.
Merry Christmas. And good luck shopping.

Gingerbread Extravaganza....

Well I can't believe it's already this time of year again, but last night we had our annual Gingerbread House Making Partay at my Parental's house. It was tons of fun! This year my Mom made homemade frosting so that our houses actually stayed together. That was a nice change =) And these houses didn't come with windows or doors so it was up to us to get creative and make them ourselves! We had the whole crew together and it was fun to eat dinner, chit chat, and make a huge mess! =) Sorry Mom.....
So here are the results! (In no particular order of greatness!)

Top Left to Right: Mandy, Matt, Emily

Bottom Left to Right: Jared, Jenny, Blake

My decadent Casa of Love.

Blake's Home full of Wildestyle!

Jenny's flawless Aspen Lodge

Matt's Twisted Axle Rock Crawler House! Awesome!

Jared's delectible morsel on the left, and Mandy's "Honk's Duck Club/Sky Bustin Cafe'" on the Right! Love them!

Here are the people behind all the magic. AKA the people who bought everything and fed us. Love you!

And here are yours truly.
Happy Hannukah!

Heaven's only an hour away.

And this is what it looks like....

Over our holiday break we had a great Thanksgiving dinner in Midway, thanks to Inez, Kathy, and Malece! It was so nice to have work off for a 4 day weekend just to relax (most of the time) and be with my husband in such a pretty place.Let me tell you, it was much needed! And no class was an added bonus as well! After Thanksgiving dinner, Blake and I headed off to Park City where we stayed a night at the The Landmark Inn. FYI the beds were exquisite and it was only 50 bucks! Moving on... the morning after Thanksgiving we all headed out to assist with a Wilde Family tradition, decorating Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley. So at 7:30am we all ventured out of our cozy hotel rooms to meet at the decoration room at Stein's. Little did I know what was ahead of me.

In a good way of course. ;)
After 12 or so hours of decorating, we had the Lodge lit-up, bow tied, garland strung, and every other kind of decorating that you can imagine, all but finished. It was fun getting to chit chat with all the Wilde fam throughout the day as we all worked worked worked. Our biggest venture to tackle was the 30 foot tree that went in the main lobby of the Lodge, there is a picture below. We had bins chuck full of lights, none of us know how many sets went on this tree but I swear to you it was millions! But it turned out great! Blake and the boys got a workout trying to hang all the ornaments. I think by the end of the night they were doing it blindfolded. Chucking them with all their might. Blake said it was his job to throw them and they would land where they were meant to be. Mmmhmm.

He is inventive I'll give him that =)

But it turned out to be a great weekend! We got to stay in a 5 bedroom suite with our own hottub and life couldnt have been better! Not many people get to return to their honeymoon spot 6 months later so that was lots of fun!

Thanks to the Wildes for the fun time!

Melt Down.

It has been well over 3 days. The cold sore is still here. I ripped it off about 5 minutes ago and it continues to drip down my lip. Sorry for those who suffer from a weak stomach. But this picture perfectly depicts how I feel right now. It takes me back to the week before my wedding. I am sitting here in this same chair, with 6 cold sores, and a forehead full of dead skin from a recent sun burn. Someone asks me how I'm coping. Due to the fact that I look like a burn victim, I say nothing, run to the nearest restroom, and throw myself onto the floor in a very clean stall. That's how I like to remember sitting on a bathroom floor, it was very clean. I then continue to cry for the next 35 minutes. I don't think I'm at that point yet, my husband is stuck with me now so that's a large relief. However, we are having a luncheon today to decorate our work christmas tree. I brought chicken salad, which is normally delighftul, but my fear is that no one will want to eat something that came from a cold sore infested employee. I hope they don't judge me. I wore a plastic bag over my face while I prepared it. I swear.

My hope is the cold sore is on it's way out thanks to L-Lysine tablets and plastic bags. Let us pray that this is the last cold sore of the long winter that still lies ahead. One can hope.
